How much notice do we need?
Allow at least 5 to 7 days for a custom christening, baptism or communion cake. In busy seasons, ordering 2 weeks ahead gives you the best choice of dates. If your celebration is sooner, call us on (02) 4231 8014 and we will check our schedule.
What can go on the cake?
- The child's name and the date of the celebration
- Religious symbols such as a cross, chalice, dove or rosary
- Colours matched to your invitation, balloons or table styling
- A simple elegant finish or a more detailed design, depending on your taste
Send us a photo of your invitation or a mood board and we will design a cake that ties in with the rest of the day.
Choosing the flavour
Family celebrations usually mean feeding all ages, from great grandparents to toddlers. Classic Italian style flavours like our Continental Cake and Tiramisu are popular with older guests, while chocolate mud and vanilla sponge are safe choices for the kids. We can also make gluten free, dairy free and vegan options so everyone gets a slice.
What size do you need?
As a guide, a large cake serves 15 to 20 people. For bigger family gatherings of 25 or more, a tiered cake or two cakes is usually the best option. Tell us your guest numbers when you enquire and we will recommend the right size.
How much does it cost?
Specialty celebration cakes start from $90 for a small simple design. Larger or more detailed cakes usually range from $150 to $350. Designs with sugar flowers, hand painting or other custom details are quoted individually.
Pickup or delivery
Collect your cake free from our shop at Shop 3, 2 Tallegalla Street, Unanderra, or we can deliver to your home, church hall or function venue across Wollongong and the Illawarra.
